Zambian hip-hop artist Dizmo recently shared a behind-the-scenes look at the making of track number 10, titled “Sister Watu,” from his “Umuntu Mutwe” album. The track features Ndine Emma and was inspired by Mutale Mwanza.
In a social media post, Dizmo expressed gratitude to King Burga (Macky 2) for making the collaboration possible. The artist also highlighted the inspiration behind the song, mentioning that Mutale Mwanza served as a source of motivation for the track.
Dizmo, signed under Apa Ili So Entertainment, is set to release his second album in 2024. The “Umuntu Mutwe” album provides a glimpse into the journey of Lusaka’s street hip-hop king. The Bemba phrase “Umuntu Mutwe” translates to “a person’s head,” symbolizing not only the physical head but also one’s intellect, thoughts, and mind.
The album delves into Dizmo‘s life story, recounting his experiences from community football and street vending to his rise as the street hip-hop king of Lusaka.
